Do you empty an abandoned unit even if the tenant cannot be reached?
Yes, once your notice and deadline process is complete. You handle the legal side of the lease and the disposal of the goods; we empty the unit when you give the go-ahead, and send you before and after photos with the unit number for your file.
How much does it cost to empty a self-storage unit?
By volume in our 10-cubic-yard truck: $185 for a single item, $265 for an eighth, $365 for a quarter, $565 for a half, $865 for a full truck, labour and disposal included. One price per unit, confirmed from photos or on site before we load. Several units in the same visit: one price per unit, one invoice. Business rate on account, amount confirmed when the account is opened.
Can you only come during our access hours?
We schedule around your site: during office hours with an employee, or with an access code and the unit number if your site is open 24 hours. We confirm the arrival time and text you when the unit is empty.
Do you take mattresses, tires and appliances?
Yes. Mattresses and box springs, tires, fridges and freezers (refrigerants recovered by the recycler), electronics: all sorted separately for recovery. What we do not take: hazardous materials, propane cylinders, chemicals and vehicles.
Several units at once, is that possible?
That is what we prefer: a whole row of units emptied in the same visit, one price per unit, one invoice. For sites with regular turnover, the route agreement reserves a fixed day each month.
Do you send us anything for the unit file?
Before and after photos with the unit number, and disposal receipts on request. On account, the month-end invoice lists every unit on its own line, with your reference.
