Hoarding / extreme cleanup on Montreal’s South Shore, professional service priced by volume.

A home where you can't get from one room to the next, piles climbing to the windowsills, a parent who has been accumulating for years and you don't know how to help anymore. Hoarding, squalor or simply years without a cleanup doesn't get fixed with willpower on a Saturday afternoon: it takes arms, gloves, a truck and zero judgment. It's usually a family member who calls us, and that's fine. We work at the person's pace, zone by zone, nothing leaves without their okay, and in one visit (or a few for the heavy cases), we give back floors, doors that close and a room you can breathe in.

What we haul away during your hoarding / extreme cleanup
  • Homes filled over many years: stacked boxes, bags, newspapers, clothing and never-opened purchases, pulled out until the floors and walkways are usable again
  • Basements, garages and bedrooms packed floor to ceiling, where we take out layer by layer before the floor is even visible
  • Furniture, mattresses and appliances buried under the accumulation (fridges, stoves, washers routed to the right recycling programs)
  • Help after a relative passes, a loss of autonomy or a hoarding disorder, working at the family's pace
  • Units to bring back to a rentable state for a landlord or manager: tenant move-out, abandonment, eviction
  • Household hazardous waste found on site (paint, solvents, batteries, propane cylinders, medication) sorted separately and taken to the RDD depot, never the trash
  • Spoiled food, piled-up garbage bags and unsanitary zones: we haul it all out and clear the room
  • On-site sorting of what's worth keeping: important papers, photos, jewellery and valuables set aside for you before anything leaves
  • Small finds worth saving handed back to you: we don't toss blindly, anything with value or meaning stays with you
How your hoarding / extreme cleanup works

You message or call us. If sending photos feels too embarrassing, we just talk through what's there and book a discreet visit: no complicated forms, no explanations owed. On the day, we arrive equipped (gloves, masks, reinforced bags) and work zone by zone, starting wherever you want. The person who lives there stays in control: they point, we carry, and anything that looks like papers, photos, jewellery or cash is set aside before anything leaves. We confirm the price before we start (based on the space it takes in our 10-cubic-yard truck, minimum $170, full load $835), hold it to the end, and leave the rooms empty and swept. Heavy cases can be split over several visits if that's easier to live with.

Why bring us in for your hoarding / extreme cleanup

This is the kind of job you don't hand to just anyone, and one we never do against the person's will: a forced cleanout never lasts. We show up in person (Pavel, Mickael or Justin, not a subcontractor), without judgment, because we've handled dozens of hoarding and squalor cases and nothing surprises us anymore. We coordinate with the family, the landlord or the caseworker when there is one. We carry liability insurance, we sort everything to divert roughly 80% from landfill, and the price quoted at the start is what you pay at the end, no matter how much comes out. And if a situation goes beyond our mandate (specialized decontamination, for example), we tell you straight and help you find the right resource.

FAQ: hoarding / extreme cleanup on the South Shore

Do you offer hoarding cleanup services?

Yes, it's one of our specialties. Whether it's a hoarding disorder, Diogenes syndrome or simply years of a home overflowing, we clear zone by zone, at the person's pace, without judgment and without forcing anything. Nothing leaves without an okay, and anything with value or meaning is set aside first. The goal isn't just an empty home: it's a place where living can start again.

My parent hoards and is ashamed to let anyone in. How does this work?

It's almost always a family member who calls us, and the shame is normal: we see it on every case. Our answer is calm. We can start with a single room to build trust, the person decides everything, and we make no comments, on site or after. We're not therapists and we don't replace proper support, but we're the muscle of the solution, and we coordinate with the CLSC worker or social worker if there's one on the file.

Will the neighbours figure out what's going on?

Our truck belongs to a junk removal company, nothing more: from the outside it looks like any garage cleanout or move. We schedule at whatever time suits you, work fast without spreading contents across the yard, and what we see inside stays between us. If sending photos is too embarrassing, we talk it through on the phone and confirm the price on site.

What if money, papers or valuables turn up in the pile?

We sort, we don't shovel blindly. Finding cash, documents, photos or jewellery in the accumulation happens regularly. Anything that looks like it is set aside and handed back in person before the rest goes. Nothing of value leaves without your okay.

How much does an extreme cleanup cost?

The price follows the space in our 10-cubic-yard truck: $170 for a single item, $345 for a quarter, $545 for a half, $835 for a full load, labour and disposal included. A very full home often takes several loads, quoted as a flat package before we start. The amount confirmed up front is the amount on the invoice, even if the sorting takes longer than planned.

Do you handle severe squalor or disinfection?

We remove the accumulation, the garbage, the spoiled food and the unsanitary zones with the right protective equipment, and we leave the rooms empty and swept. Deep disinfection or specialized decontamination (major mould, biohazards) is a different trade: if your situation calls for it, we tell you straight at the visit and help you find the right resource instead of billing you for half a job.
